[title size=”2″]Server Requirements[/title]

We highly recommend a dedicated server (a machine not used as a workstation by a user).  This computer should have reliable power and be connected to your Local Area Network.  These recommendations may change depending on the size of your shows and the volume of transactions you’ll be conducting.

  1. Windows (XP, Win 7, 2003, 2008, 2012)
  2. Min 4GB Ram (recommend 8 GB or higher)
  3. Min 100 GB Hard Drive (recommend external or secondary drive for backups)
  4. Min Intel Core 2 Duo or Better (for high volume shows we recommend Xeon processors)
  5. SSD – For high volume shows we commend considering Solid State Drives
  6. 100 Mb minimum connection to your local area network (should be wired)

[title size=”2″]Office Workstations[/title]

Each workstation should ideally be connected to the Local Area Network via ethernet.  Using a private wireless network is also possible.

  1. Windows (XP, Win 7, 2003, 2008, 2012)
  2. OR Macintosh OS 10.5 (or better.  We currently don’t support Mavericks)
  3. Min 2GB Ram (recommend 4 GB or higher)
  4. Min 10 GB Hard Drive space available (recommend external or secondary drive for backups)
  5. Min Intel Core 2 Duo or Better
  6. 10/100 Mb ethernet connection to your local area network (or Wireless)

[title size=”2″]Ingate/Announcer computers[/title]

Typically in-gate/announcer computers are laptops.  We support both wired and wireless network connections.

  1. Windows (XP, Win 7, 2003, 2008, 2012)
  2. OR Macintosh OS 10.5 (or better.  We currently don’t support Mavericks)
  3. Min 2GB Ram (recommend 4 GB or higher)
  4. Min 10 GB Hard Drive space available (recommend external or secondary drive for backups)
  5. Min Intel Core 2 Duo or Better
  6. 10/100 Mb ethernet connection to your local area network (or wireless)
  7. Wireless – If using wireless we HIGHLY RECOMMEND a fast, private wireless network NOT shared with the public.

[title size=”2″]Internet Connection[/title]

We don’t require any particular speed Internet connection, but to process real-time sync of data with our website we need sufficient bandwidth.  For a low volume show this may be accomplished with a cellular connection.  For a high-volume show a fast broadband connection is recommended.

  1. Internet Connectivity MUST be available to the server computer for sync operations with our site.
  2. .5 Mbit/second minimum
  3. Cable or better recommended
